They were never inexpensive but come on – $2,299 for their rapid e-learning authoring suite – includes mobile (prices do drop if you purchase multiple but still 10-25 licenses runs at $1,954). Compared to the other big players – dominKnow Claro is a steal. 1,799 – per license. What’s next?

That said, why is this happening: A significant (over 90%) of vendors are holding off this year and at least part of next year from optimizing their solution to the iPad. While I cannot say who they are, there are a couple LMS vendors that are ripe for acquisition, and it wouldn’t be a shock to see them in new hands by Q2 2011.

Product Review: GeoLearning GeoMaestro

Non-Java player for HTML5 courses and thus viewable on tablets. GeoMaestro has a built in HTML5 player, that is non-java based player is in the system. That said, GeoMaestro does not fully support HTML5, which begs the question why, when you have this non-java based player as part of your solution? E-Learning 24/7.
