They so buy into it, as the best way to learn X or Y, that there is a movement to add synchronous-based learning, back in the day, we referred to SBL as sticking the classroom teaching method online. On top of all that, the LXP vendors (as a whole) pushed a false pretense that the LXP was vastly different than say an LMS. the client).

The awards are for off-the-shelf content, this is content that a 3rd party provider builds and sells to the client (business, orgs, companies, government, education, associations, etc.) In the industry, we refer to these folks as custom development shops or boutique shops. I did it back in 2002. Trust me, it is nost a challenge.

I want to be the first in a long line of folks to congratulate on getting that new LMS. Yes, yes it is, but you still need to be trained on how to use the LMS. I know you are saying to yourself, well they are a LMS vendor in e-learning so they must rock on training. Whoa, you say. for training/L&D/e-learning or whatever.

In 2002, a company created video courses that were AICC compliant and could be bookmarked. A LMS that came with a e-commerce, a chat room, discussion boards, front end look that did not appear to a be a LMS, library, bookstore (capability), art gallery (I used it for sponsorship purposes). It is understandable.sort of.

I note this because in the LMS and its subsets field, the same type of repeat, wash and repeat cycle exists. Cycle A – LMS Polling data. Some experts and pundits are quite upfront that their data is based on this study or that study and/or refers only to those surveyed. Cycle B- LMS Transparency. not the PTA.
