I am not able to publish one of my projects to computer (SWF/HTML5) though I have had no trouble publishing other similar projects which also have the same selections in publish settings or preferences under Edit and Quiz. I was able to publish this project in SWF only. but still cannot resolve the problem.

While OK in HTML5, the SWF version of the matching quiz drop down is displayed extremely small. This might be an issue for everyone using this type of quiz, but I couldn’t find an a solution. Historically, we’ve published as SWF, but are moving to HTML5 only very soon (not that this is super relevant to the question – just trying to paint the picture of what we do). Within the Quiz Settings, if you click Configure the Manifest dialog is displayed. My question is around the publishing part.

This only publishes in SWF format so it may not be the most useful in an age when HTML5 is quickly gaining popularity over Flash. I chose the Simple Remediation option since I have a quiz included at the end of each course). I’ll list them here, but I’m primarily going to focus on the last one for the purpose of this blog.

When i delete the.pdf,swf data from the zip, nothing will start. So far the only option I found to use captivate on moodle together with LMS is ths learning package. Also, there is a QUIZ button which wont’t work and look like they are greyed out. How can I get it to work and how can I change the zip file?

I think about merging with 360 slides, real quiz slides, adding links to other assets etc. Since the result is the same output as from any cptx file, you can combine the interactive video slides with other content slides and/or quiz slides. Those are SWF-based but will be converted to MP4 when publishing to HTML5.

When using the Submit All feature for a quiz, up till now it was not possible to localize this popup dialog box (style can be changed using the Object Style Manager): In Captivate 2017, the dialog box whidh appears when you click the option ‘Submit All Messages in Quiz, Preferences has all you need to localize everything.

If you want to publish a project to be accessible from any device, you have to ignore the still available Captivate SWF output! For such a course development Captivate offers 3 workflows: Scalable Projects : you can publish a blank (normal) project to HTML5 with the option ‘Scalable HTML Content’ activated.

One exception: embedded buttons on Quiz/Score slides cannot be shape buttons, so I use transparent buttons for those. The SVG, activated as button, has all the features of shape buttons: can be used on master slides, can be timed for the rest of the project (not in Fluid Boxes), can be added to quiz and score slides as extra button.
