CBT Prior to online learning known then as WBT, and then the latter term of e-learning (vendors today, use it to refer to content that is online), there was CBT. CBT was the “new” and exciting way to learn. Other fun tidbits AICC was the leader here, then came SCORM.

What SCORM compliance are you? SCORM (as it is known, when it is before 1.2)? . Because if you are using a content authoring tool that is SCORM 2004, then you must find a system that is at least 2004. SCORM is backward compatible, not forward. . SaaS or on your own servers – they can do both, but ideally prefer SaaS (they host it). SCORM compliant. E-commerce. APIs – as in their (video learning platform itself) API is open. 264, MP4, MOV, WMA, AICC, etc. – always check with the vendor – they all support HD. SCORM Compliant.

Do I need to get an authoring tool that is SCORM or can it just be proprietary? If you want to track in a learning management system or learning platform that supports SCORM then you want it. Why would I want a SaaS solution over hosted on my own servers product? Do I need an authoring tool if I have a LMS?
