While I am sure that occurred at WOLC, the ones I gazed at, which were presented by vendors, had no sales pitch whatsoever, rather it was all about a specific subject tied to e-learning. I rarely rave positively about an ILT session, but if I was in the UK and wanted to do a team building event, I would hire these folks.

Yes, talent management systems are gaining popularity, but HR folks are still the drivers on a TM/PM and not the folks in training or in many cases learning/development. Finally, ILT is still in demand – but I believe that by 2020, 95% of learning will be online and not instructor/classroom based. E-Learning 24/7.

I saw a lot more folks than in previous shows and more e-learning vendors too. Equally there were several ILT vendors who had some type of online learning thing going on. Still there are plenty of hold outs on the ILT side, especially those creating “leaders” or developing coaches.
