I am hearing from some vendors that they are having issues with Windows 8 and that Microsoft typically makes it difficult to really make it work. Here is the thing, you have the money and resources to offer collaboration, templates and avatars. iSpring Pro but it only converts PPT to HTML5. E-Learning Vendors and Apps.

Articulate, Captivate and Lectora – Do they deserve your praise?

The two biggest negatives IMO, is that it just isn’t robust enough for e-learning developers and its whole focus on PPT into converting to a course doesn’t help. It reminds them of templates, and speaking of which. Templates – trend. Screen capture – more and more vendors are adding it.

Break it down! (No it’s not Hammer Time! Yet)

The downside to training management products is the inability to upload any other 3rd party authoring tool or courses from an off the shelf vendor. Yeah, you can upload word docs, PPT, etc. Actually, I do blame: Vendors who still post RFP templates on their site – which by the way tend to be geared towards themselves.

Templates – growing at quick clip. This will become one of the biggest features in 2012 – especially with people wanting to create simulations without being an e-learning developer. PowerPoint – Ability to integrate or use PPT in your courses. Perhaps they are unaware of the RCAT space as well.
