I started working on the Outcome learning idea to give direction to the product development of easygenerator. But in the version that we are developing at this moment that has changed. Easygenerator works with so-called master pages; they define the look and feel of a course and the functionality of the course.

The idea is to go over the process of agile software development at easygenerator and translate that into eLearning development. Your market are the users of the learning objects (both managers and end users), but also by general developments in the eLearning market with vendors and other companies and theoretical and technical developments.

I will try to illustrate how fundamental this change is by telling you what happened over the past 18 months at Easygenerator. And that is changing, now anyone can create eLearning with simple web based tools like Easygenerator and share it via the web with anyone, anywhere. As a vendor we need to be ahead of the curve.

The DemoFest had 33 contributors, 23 of them are vendors. Among the 10 non-vendors 5 large corporations, three universities, two independent studies; again no SME’s. For me as a vendor this conference was a success. Smaller companies are not yet ready to take the mobile step. So what is holding them back?

EasyGenerator. EasyGenerator is a SaaS based content authoring tool that is like a piece of fine sculpture, with some cracks, but beauty that is hidden within. Vendor can create a component so you can push directly into your LMS, without having to upload it directly (extra cost). Good, Average & Poor. Main Screen.

This is really what we as a vendor of an authoring tool are struggling with. For example the title of a piece, or the introduction need to have different versions (short, medium, long), so we can use the most appropriate one for the device the user has. But no, she addressed the real issue. We need a new paradigm for authoring!

The basic set up of a SCORM compliant course is simple, here is how it works: You create a course in an e-Learning authoring tool (like easygenerator) or in a LMS. Yes there are two version of SCORM: SCORM 1.2 The latest version is SCORM 2004 but both are still in use. In fact the oldest version (SCORM 1.2)
