The charts below show use of different tools, sites, etc. MySpace is clearly behind in the corporate eLearning world. Virginia asked what the "other tools" were: Plaxo, YouTube, LearningTown, del.icio.us/delicious, I've not really seen good numbers on what people are using as part of their day-to-day lives. More coming on this.

There was a forum on Manging Your Social Networks and the Time Commitment with some good thoughts on this question. Here in Brazil, people are more familiar with Orkut or Myspace. But what disapoint me is the fact that some schools, educational institutions don't allow the use of social networks in info labs.

I've run across a couple of interesting posts recently that seem to have spawned from a Business Week article - Scaling the Social Web. And doesn't Flickr (images), del.icio.us (bookmarks), etc. all have a social networking aspect to them? This is something we are commonly doing on sites today. I sort of agree.
