It’s better that there is PowerPoint support in the tool so that such slides can be imported and converted into a SCORM based course. The authoring tool should be able to retain all the PPT features such as slide transitions, animations, etc.

What I am seeing is an increase in learning system vendors exploring online/offline synch with the iPad/iPad2 (and yes, Android OS). While there are vendors who offer online/offline synch with their LMSs, they are doing it via a universal app, which is geared towards the screen size of smartphone, rather than a tablet. Prediction.
