  Adobe has raised the bar quite a bit with Captivate 2017. To add closed captions, add voiceover audio to a slide and then choose Audio > Audio Management. Select the slide you'd like to caption and click the Closed Caption tool at the bottom of the Advanced Audio Management dialog box.

I have just discovered that I cannot hear the audio when playing back an eLearning in Captive 2017 (Preview/HTML5 in Browser). I am on a team with several Captivate 2017 users. We found that when copy/pasting slides from one file into another, the audio gets modified. Some segments (not restricted to a single slide, often spanning more than one) get cut out and are replaced by the audio from a previous, unrelated project. What can cause this?

Using captivate 2017 I created a drag and drop of 8 Russian and English words. Once the word is dropped audio plays pronouncing the word in Russian. Despite the order the last drag and drop always repeats the audio from the choice prior. The drag and drop are correctly linked and the audio files are also correctly linked.

Has anyone had an issue with their audio not playing in HTML5 in preview and when published? But when you click the Rewind button, the audio will play? I published a project in Captivate 8 last week and had this issue and am having the same problem with Captivate 2017 today. When I publish as a.swf, the audio plays just fine.

2017 Captivate. Further to the post in 2017 by JoeQ, creating this Advanced Action worked great for one slide. Is it possible to do this on all slides so that if the user returns to any slide in the Captivate project, the audio would not play the 2nd time around?

Can I build a pause and play functionality that will pause (and subsequently play) the triggered object audio inside the AA? (I’m I’m a novice Captivate 2017 user, so please be clear in any reply).

We have checked every setting we could find to make sure that everything is set exactly as it was when we were using 2017, we did this because we have one machine that has not been updated. I created a set of SCORM packages for online training purposes, using Captivate 2017. Last year, using the same programs (slightly older versions), and processes, I published these packages as swf files, and the audio played without any issues. When I publish the same file as SWF/HTML5, the audio plays perfectly.

I recently built a new project in Captivate 2017 and was having issues optimizing the size to play well in our LMS. I rebuilt the same project(same images and audio) in Captivate 9 and it saved as a third of the size that it was in Captivate 2017. example Cap.9 9 was 112 MB and Cap.
