While many people think that they need an ERP LMS with the same vendor, because they already have that ERP in place, it is no longer true. A good portion of LMSs can integrate or interface with ERP solutions, such as SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle and integrate with HRIS systems. M-Learning. E-Learning 24/7.

If this is something you are looking for – i.e. a HCM, then they are the ones to go with – over Cornerstone, Oracle-Taleo, SumTotal and alike. Costs and quality will vary. For vendors creating standalone apps for the masses on a variety of offerings or new product lines, costs will need to be significantly lower, otherwise it will not be successful. Costs will vary, again lower price points are needed. who do not have the inside staff to build such an app.

Lower cost and the locations of their personnel and other clients. Vendors are finally getting it and realizing that the end user in fact is essential to the client’s success. Anything that reduces calls into a company’s tech support (and thus lower the costs for that vendor’s customer support) will be incorportad.

Can integrate with various HRIS or ERP systems including Oracle, SAP, Lawson. In fact there are systems that cost less than 25K that are excellent. Learning is really becoming secondary, even if these vendors offer a LMS. . Others focus on the talent management with these features either included or an additional cost.

LMS vendors are continuing to add some very unique features in an effort to set themselves apart from the competition. This is to say that 90% of features most folks seek are nearly universal in a LMS – low cost or otherwise. Branding – the only difference is some vendors still charge for this – my question: why?
