Since my presentations last month at the Harvard Business School and at the eLearningGuild Annual Gathering, I've been getting several basic questions about what Web 2.0 and eLearning2.0eLearning 1.0, Learning Trends Point To and Shape eLearning2.0 Law #1: You will NOT really understand Web 2.0
I presented at an eLearningGuild online symposium a couple weeks ago. The topic of the symposium was eLearning2.0 (or or is it Learning 2.0). This presentation is where the Examples of eLearning2.0 - which showed clearly these things are being applied to formal and informal learning opportunities.
The latest issue of the journal Interactive Learning Environments is a special issue entitled: Towards eLearning2.0 The seven papers and editorial focus on how Web 2.0 Wikis in eLearning2.0 Tags: eLearning2.0 I'm impressed by the scope and scale of the projects in this issue. Unported License.

I just saw this post - eLearning2.0 - I'm tring to DO IT - that's a response to my post eLearning2.0 - Go DO IT. But most of all, as a presenter / teacher / blogger, you periodically start to feel like - "Does any of this matter?" It because a little addictive though. Way to go Tracy!
Going back through the back chat / back channel during my presentation was really interesting to me. Since I couldn't read it at the same time I was presenting, it was amazing how much conversation was going on among the participants. One interesting result is that the audience for my eLearning2.0 I hope it was worth it.

It seems that face-to-face and online presenting are becoming more similar. Some aspects: Wireless access is becoming more common in places where presentations occur. A larger percentage of the audience these days brings a laptop to presentations and it seems that the factor of Laptop Distraction is quieting down.

I've been approached quite a bit recently to do presentations at local ASTD chapters or to help find a speaker. The reality is that I can't afford to do free presentations at local events. In some cases, I am finding myself doing workshops locally that can then help fund it. I'm looking forward to doing more of these this next year.
