We had fun at DevLearn last month giving some sneak peeks of the new Totara LMS. If you haven’t heard yet about Totara, it’s a new corporate distribution of Moodle. The new Totara distribution of Moodle is opensource and available on a subscription basis which provides ongoing support and enhancements.
Totara is now available for your hands-on demoing pleasure. What is Totara? And did I mention that it's opensource? Why it's a custom distribution of Moodle, specifically geared the corporate sector with learning plans, detailed reporting and classroom management, among other useful features.
The active community for this opensource tool and the numerous free tutorials and resources are a huge benefit for me when I’m working in Moodle or Totara (a corporate version of Moodle). Although my primary freelance work is designing courses, I do some LMS consulting as well.
