There was usually so much information on the slides that it was nearly impossible to retain anything.  Once I see a slide that says I’m on slide 1 of 80, I tend to immediately shut down.  Instead of a bunch of bulleted text, the slides contain text captions that pop up and then disappear after a few seconds.

To use the Text to Speech feature, first, add the voiceover script to the slide notes. Click the Audio drop-down menu and choose Text to Speech. The script you added to the slide notes earlier appears in the main area of the window. The audio appears on the Timeline. The audio appears on the Timeline.

When importing voiceover audio into Adobe Captivate, I always suggest that audio be added directly to the slide instead of objects on the slide ( Audio > Import to > Slide ). By importing audio directly onto the slide, you'll have more direct control over the audio.

Captivate developers have been able to add background audio to their projects since Captivate was known as RoboDemo. The process of adding background audio hasn't changed much over the years. In Adobe Captivate 5, you simply choose Audio > Import to > Background and open the audio file (wav or mp3).

To add closed captions, add voiceover audio to a slide and then choose Audio > Audio Management. Select the slide you'd like to caption and click the Closed Caption tool at the bottom of the Advanced Audio Management dialog box. Click CC Settings at the right of the dialog box.

There's a slide that plays for 45 seconds. As you're listening to the audio, you'd like a screen object to appear in sync with the voiceover audio or some other screen action. Of course, if the slide is playing for a significant amount of time, that's going to require a lot of dragging.

Here’s how: First, on the Slide Show tab , click the Record It will give you the option of recording from the current slide, or from the beginning of the presentation. This will automatically save your recordings to each slide. You can record video/narration for individual slides, or for several slides at once.
