But, the reason I constantly bash this into e-learning vendors heads is this just DON’T GET IT. HTML5 will be available on every one of those tablets, plus they will offer Flash (notable exception the iPad). If you want to move onto a new experience with m-learning why not add functionality to an e-reader?

What is of note, is that this is not new in terms of systems being offered “in the cloud” This was happening back when e-learning began, with quite a few systems in the cloud by 2002. Systems that are only available as hosted on your own servers are starting to significantly decline. Open Source Systems.

You work online via the servers of your vendor. I had thought that this trend would be dying out, but it is amazing at the number of vendors who are entering the space and still focused on the desktop approach. Remember when only a few offered the PPT to Flash option in their tools? Mobile Learning. What happened?
