SCORM is a fairly easy standard to deal with especially since most people are fine with a single SCO that does only single score/completion reporting. One case is building a one-off course that needs simple tracking/reporting and will never run under an LMS. There are a couple of situations where SCORM gets dropped.

The AICC was dissolved in 2014, and all of its efforts have been transferred to the Department of Defense’s (DOD) Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) group. In 1997, the DOD established the ADL Initiative to standardize and modernize training. The work on this standard has been passed to the ADL, and is actively being developed today.

Answer: There’s four different Open Source LRSs that I’m aware of: Learning Locker , ADL LRS , lxHive and TinMan. None of the open source LRSs have the same level of reporting and analytics provided by a Learning Analytics Platform like Watershed and as far as I know none of them have plans to add this functionality.
