In more recent years, websites, wikis and blogs have entered the picture, creating social learning platforms that learners can modify themselves. In both cases, much of the trick when it comes to user adoption has to do with getting the word out early and often about the tools you are developing.
I’ve often wondered what all this right-brained thinking means for the learning industry. How will organizations get them to adopt new business processes, procedures, or software systems when necessary? Instead, we will need to put the workers themselves in charge of their own learning. Workers have to solve problems on the fly.
To avoid this problem, companies must build significant financial and human resources into ERP project plans for communications, training, and other organizational change management activities.
