While other industries are already developing AI, the learning industry seems to be lagging behind. Artificial intelligence, or “AI,” is a branch of computer science that aims to create “intelligent machines,” capable of performing problem solving, pattern recognition and learning without explicit programming.
ADDIE follows the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. There are four elements to motivating eLearning course learners: gaining attention, making it relevant, developing confidence and attaining satisfaction. Big data can reveal patterns, trends, and associations in learners and performance.

In this age of big data, I challenge you to think about the “datafication” of HR and specifically the datafication of learning and development. Facebook has datafied our friend network; Google has datafied our search and information retrieval behavior; Twitter is datafying news and real-time information.
Our Job is to Find and Fix Problems. Rather, our primary job is to analyze problems, create solutions that meet the real need, and monitor how well these solutions are doing so we can tweak or change them. One of my biggest pet peeves is people in Learning & Development say they don’t have time to learn new things.
Big Data Should Be on Your Organization’s eLearning Radar (Analytics Are the Reason Why). For instance, the organization can assess how learners are acquiring information, the pace needed to digest the information, and any problems that arise with the training strategy. It’s the analysis of the data that holds much promise.
