Just started using Jing , a free online screen capture program. You can record audio as you record the screen action. Tags: tools Jing software Screen Capture. It's not as full-featured as Snagit but it is simple, easy to use and does the job. This program hangs around as a "sun" image at the top of your screen.
It can be difficult to get great audio on video cameras using the built in microphone. This microphone will give you professional sounding audio with your Flip video camera. It can capture full 1080p HD video and it has an external microphone jack so I can get great sounding professional audio.
Jing is a screen-capture and screencasting tool that I’ve mentioned before. The basic version is free and I can’t say enough about how much I love Jing. Captivate and Camtasia can help you assemble more complicated projects that include video, text, images, audio clips, etc. Audacity can be used for editing audio.
Before using Camtasia, we recorded with Jing, which had a five minute time limit per video. For more formal training videos, I might put 45 minutes to an hour or more into a polished three minute video (including setting up my mic and editing the audio in Pro Tools).
