This month's ASTD Learning Circuit's Blog BigQuestion is "How do I communicate the value of social media as a learning tool to my organization?" Address the need to share knowledge over distances or the value of timely information to sales tactics, don't focus on the technology.
If the learner is able to apply their knowledge through interactions, it will assist them in processing the information in more depth, and they will have a higher likelihood of recalling the information and transferring it to a real-world setting. But first the bigquestion…How interactive does your interactivity need to be?
Learning Circuits' BigQuestion for May is "So what can, should, or will, we offer the digital generation by 2015?" We are already seeing the impact of social media and informal learning, but we will see it blend immensely with both classroom and e-learning. We will offer even more edu-games.

Here are some of the bigquestions to ask: How much additional revenue could you be pulling in with (successfully run) customer/partner training that they love? How much turnover or customer/partner churn are you facing due to lack of engagement or poor user experience?
The BigQuestion this month is Workplace Learning in 10 Years : If you peer inside an organization in 10 years time and you look at how workplace learning is being supported by that organization, what will you see? What will the mix of Push vs. Pull Learning; Formal vs. Informal supported by the organization?
