One of the digital literacies I identified in yesterday's blogpost was effective socialnetworking. Most of us have a Facebook account, and maybe a LinkedIn account too. Lots of us use Twitter, and some of those out on the periphery may still be using Myspace or Bebo. So what's the big deal about this?
Students now have the capability to create and share their own content through blogs, wikis, video- and photo-sharing services such as YouTube and Flickr. They can easily connect into and maintain contact with multiple communities of interest, gaining access to experts using socialnetworking tools such as Myspace and Facebook.
