Last week I told you about an awesome (and free) update to Adobe Captivate 2019. Specifically, Adobe has enhanced the Text-to-Speech feature. Choose Audio > Speech Management to open the Speech Management dialog box. Once the voices are installed, restart Adobe Captivate.

As you know, Text-to-Speech is something that's very interesting to me and Joel knows a lot about it as CEO of Tuval Software Industries maker of Speech-Over Professional. This software adds text-to-speech voice narration to PowerPoint presentations and is used for training and eLearning at major corporations.
There are different ways of adding audio to an eLearning project in Adobe Captivate 5.5 and one of the ways is to convert Text to Audio with the powerful functionality of Text-to-Speech in Adobe Captivate.
What was interesting is that the interviewer was produced using Text to Speech. For short bursts of text, the computer generated voice was okay. Based on the comments during the session, a few questions came up: Does Text to Speech work for longer form content? Captivate 4 contains built in Text to Speech.
Next, I opened Storyline's Text-to-Speech window by going to the Insert tab on the Ribbon and, from the Media group, choosing Audio > Text-to-Speech. The voiceover script text that I had previously pasted into the Notes window was added to the Text-to-Speech window.
