Im no Facebook super-user and I havent experienced a huge time suck from it, but I suppose its possible. Cammy, Im just a "lite" Facebook user, but I have seen profile pages that list their workplaces with commentary about how horrible their company is, or how much they hate their job. And Im in complete agreement.

Tuesday, June 19, 2007 Using FaceBook Im trying to expand my horizons a bit these days and have been taking a closer look at a whole bunch of tools out there, including SecondLife and FaceBook. Im interested in how we could leverage that existing community for better communication, learning opportunities, networking, etc.
Im losing my steam, but trying to stay somewhat on target. This reminds me of a post I saw today at the Internet Time Community from Andy Jones: Give me a Lobster. It also makes me think of the whole gift-giving economy which is central to BurningMan , an arts festival and community that is created every year in the Nevada desert.

Sorry you had that experience, but Im glad to know Im not the only one. They were coming at me in the chat, then IM, and when they started coming into my email I quit the program. Ive been into SL several times but Im very daunted about attempting to talk to anyone, so usually wander around by myself.
And Im not implying that Im a Second Life naysayer. Ive been exploring the use of Second Life for a client for whom Im developing an e-Learning strategy. Theirs is an audience comprised only of women and Im not convinced Second Life will feel appropriate to them. As you may know, Ive only been there once.
Nevertheless, Im trying to keep up. Then again, Im not trying to stay on top of hundreds of comments a day. Im not going to bother with a full-blown survey.
