During the recent Articulate User event at Devlearn, Sarah Hodge from SlideSugar shared a really cool example that she built in Storyline. She also included a quick tutorial to show how she built it. The core quiz slide she built (that she covers in the tutorial) could be stripped of content and be saved as a template for re-use.

I’ve just finished a number of workshops and capped it off with a session at Devlearn. This post has a couple of simple examples and quick tutorial to show it’s done. We discussed it in this blog post on finding free stock images. It was a great time of meeting many of you and learning more about what you do.

I’m a big advocate of visiting some of the illustration tutorials online and applying them to PowerPoint. If you have a budget you can buy stock images, but if you don’t AND you don’t want to use clip art then taking your own photos is easy enough, especially nowadays with the digital cameras. Also, if you record tutorial videos or do webinars, the audio compression mitigates some of the distinctions you hear in different qualities of audio. I do like to use headset microphones for recording tutorials and doing webinars because it allows me to operate hands free and not worry about moving around and away from the microphone.
