KeepVid offered both (save as FLV and save as MP4) and a nice bookmarklet as well. To get it in Flash Video Format / FLV - you can use the little tool provided by TechCrunch. Browse eLearning Content at www.elearninglearning.com I've not tried it, but it appears to work for Google Video, MySpace video and more.

My understanding is that MP4 format does not support transparency, and while FLV does, it won’t run on the iPad. While Aurasma doesn’t seem to support animated gifs, it does support video.
