When I mention blogs or any social networking they "poo-poo" me and say our workers should not use those tools because it will make them inefficient and not do their jobs. So some of the questions this raises in my mind: How do you communicate about the potential here to other learning professionals? to knowledge workers?

They see the benefit of the tool in a strict learning environment, but have difficulty seeing its use in an expanded role. Of course, there’s no easy answers here, but lots we can discuss and learn around this. One of the things that this group has identified as one of their “problems” is that they receive too many emails.

The administration of skills from trainer to bear is very structured, and demonstration of skills learned by the bear confirms proficiency by riding around the limits of the circus ring. We embed task-relevant job aids (PSOs – informal learning tools) into the bear’s workflow.
