I’m liveblogging the webinar Growing in a Down Market with PBwiki. They used to keep contact info for vendors in Outlook, but had problems keeping consistent across multiple contact cards. Wiki solves the problem of creating one central location with easy access. They’ve made feature requests but no problems.
At the start of the week, I found PBWiki Putting Image Over My Images - at least they were cute little sandwiches. I had spoken to the Founder of PBWiki in the past and had very nice conversations. There were quite a few wikis that were using us to host very large images on MySpace a year or so ago. So, I ignored it.
Thus, there is real attraction in being able to sign up for hosted services that provide these tools without Corporate IT being involved. We had no trouble with our PBWiki. The problem is that our SharePoint intranet has grown so immensely that it is now difficult to find information you need in a pinch. The problem is that we will not be upgrading to SharePoint until the end 0f 08 and we can't afford to wait that long. Hosted solution – This is what I am leaning towards at this point.
