Well, lets just say that theres no denying now that Im almost 40. Wednesday, July 11, 2007 My 100th Post In honor of my 39th birthday (which is today), I write my 100th post (which seems improbable). In fact, I think Ill just start saying that I am 40. This seems significant for no real reason.

Then again, perhaps Im missing something. Monday, July 02, 2007 The Gin System As Ive been trying to sort out the role of FaceBook lately, I cant help but wonder "wheres the content?" It seems to me that FaceBook is a great networking tool. You can point people to outside links, but I havent yet seen a great way to include content.

Im a Word power-user and love all the little tricks and shortcuts. All of my project information is in one place. I started off cutting and pasting a lot of documents from Word into the wiki. Now Ive left Word behind and am writing everything directly in the wiki. Ive had to get used to the formatting -- or lack thereof. I miss them.

I also kept the LibraryThing listing books Im currently reading (or have read or intend to read at some point.), I just deleted a bunch of stuff and/or tried to incorporate it into my About Page. I did keep the Instructional Design Resources list, which seems to be useful to people. as this does get a lot of interest (aka "hits").

The Connected Worker 21st century knowledge worker/learner "Im only as good as my network." Kids use tools like MySpace, FB etc. use these tools for social -- they dont have these in their learning toolkit. Shift is not to do what youre supposed to do. Do it when you want. This will have real implications for instruction.

Each tag is linked back to the tagger’s BluePagesprofile, and clicking on the tagger’s name lets a user send the personan IM o IBM owns more than 50 islands in Second Life. This minimizes inappropriate behavior. o IBM employees use a social bookmarking program called DogEar.
