Unfortunately, Microsoft is dumping the Office.com and clip art site. One of the most common reasons elearning developers use image editors like Paint.net and Photoshop Elements is to remove backgrounds from stock images. There are literally hundreds of PowerPoint tips and tutorials in the blog. And they work fine for that.

If you have a budget you can buy stock images, but if you don’t AND you don’t want to use clip art then taking your own photos is easy enough, especially nowadays with the digital cameras.
