Ditto when you buy a system that is SCORM 1.2 I’m not a fan of the size caps when it comes to SCORM files – it makes no sense, nor the limit of bulk upload per number of entries. Maybe Skillsoft didn’t want to invest more into SumTotal, it was a strange relationship – I mean dysfunctional would be kind.
Here I ran the R&D, Training, Content Development and Professional Services departments over my tenure there and also got my first exposure to this brand new standard, at the time, SCORM. PENS is actually a standard that was developed to make it easier to push packages (primarily SCORM) into an LMS. What are your thoughts?

What I am finding is that AICC is nearly gone in the LEP space (as it is with LMSs too), so if I was you, I’d seek SCORM, SCORM 1.2, coorpacademy, Learn Amp, Percipio by Skillsoft, Looop, EdCast, MyQuest, Learning Tribes, Lumesse, Filtered, 360Learning, Springest Go, Toolwire. xAPI as my top three. There are already some vendors doing this – eLogic Learning includes close to 130 courses, when you buy their system, Docebo includes some courses with their platform, SumTotal does too (since being acquired by Skillsoft), and there are others as well.
