I usually write a blog post, you skim or read it, maybe share it, and we move on. The spelling of “eLearning” has never truly been standardized, but it’s agreed that it describes learning that takes place through electronic devices. Although SCORM is the most widely known eLearning tracking standard, it’s not the only one.
Ruth Clark posted at ASTD an article titled “ Why Games Don’t Teach.” However, I think Clark didn’t do a very careful review of the literature before writing her post, and I don’t think that one study is enough for her to make such a broad claim dismissing games for learning.
