I’ve said many times that everything I know about woodworking (my new hobby), I learned on YouTube.com. We all want to share our knowledge and learn from others and there’s no better way to do this than by sharing what you know with your communities via short recordings.
I'm from the SL Newspaper and I just want to let you know that I came across your movie on YouTube.com (about LSL) and that we put it in our paper. he got an interesting message about his video. Great tutorial by the way. Are you planning on making more of these tutorials? What a great example of the power of Web 2.0
If you are intersed in looking at some tutrials for Mahara then try the Wiki of there is a nice 2007 PDF here alternatively there are soem nice movies at YouTube.com
On the other hand I find the YouTube app very limited, especially without the ability to sign in, so I have been using YouTube.com instead. However I have tested most of the apps that are included and some of my favorite apps include the calculator, Camera, Videos, Podcasts and Help. I would prefer native apps of these two services.
YouTube.com uses game mechanics. I'm the Mayor! Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Google has announced the +1 button. I've watched the video but have not yet found the elusive +1 button in my Google. Betcha didn't know that! Check out this Google presentation given by Amy Jo Kim ( @amyjokim ).
Soon you can create your own private Vignettes Videos account to view pre-selected and the best of breed videos from speakers, members, YouTube.com, and TED.com. TrainingTube.TV is its first application. my3MinuteGames [link] continues to be in BETA and we are receiving a lot of excellent feedback.
To have your work considered, simply post it on YouTube, and then submit it at youtube.com/play. They are looking for animation, motion graphics, narrative, non-narrative, or documentary work, music videos and entirely new art forms—creations that really challenge the world’s perceptions of what’s possible with video.

I was off the grid for a few days rock climbing at Indian Cove in Joshua Tree National Park. Beautiful! I highly recommend it. One of the top rock climbing destinations in the world. Getting back into the online world was oddly unappealing at first. But then I found the tweets about YouTube/edu and that got me back into the game.
This made me ponder that although we have the facility of rapid communications and faster social learning environments (Twitter.com, Youtube.com, iPad and iPhone, SharePoint, Yammer.com and other similar tools), might the lack of good learner-driven questions hinder immediacy of answers from mentors / coaches or experts?
FYI - Many of the educational videos link over to the regular YouTube.com site, so it may be confusing for some users when the EDU branding and interface disappears when clicking back and forth between the sites.). Are there similar video-sharing sites/applications that can be deployed in-house? education.
