The ASTD Bigquestion this month is What did you learn about learning in 2008? Tags: ASTD BigQuestion. I learn so much all the time from students, clients and colleagues, it is hard to narrow it down to just two or three things, but I'll try. Here are a few of the lessons I have learned.
The ASTD BigQuestion for January is "What are your Predictions for Learning in 2008?" First, I am going to borrow from the December 2006 BigQuestion which I really liked. The three questions, now modified for 2008, are: What will you remember most about 2007? What are your predictions for 2008?

The Learning Circuits Blog BigQuestion for December is 'what did you learn about learning in 2008?' Keeping true to my new belief in the benefits of procrastination , I have managed to leave this until the very last day of the month; and, because I have not yet posted any retrospectives for 2008, I thought I'd combine the two.

As I read through the different responses to this month's Big Q, I saw that most of the major points had been covered.
But when I do these predictions, I focus on the stuff that’s part of the bigger trends and the potential that these trends have for impacting workplace learning professionals especially around the impact that technology will have. The BigQuestion for March on the Learning Circuits Blog is 'what is the scope of our responsibility as learning professionals?' I don't regard this question as just a topical response to the increased interest in informal learning - it's an issue that has been there as long as we have had learning professionals.
David Grebow suggested this month's BigQuestion (thanks David). There's been a lot of discussion around cognitive theory and "how the brain learns." I've been to a lot of conference sessions around this and I've captured a bunch of really great resources below.
