While the world awaits the all-new Captivate to be released (the new version, currently called Project Charm, is in beta), Adobe continues to support version 2019. Beyond some tweaks to the overall look and feel of the interface, this update finally removes references to SWF output in the Publish dialog box ( File > Publish ).

I am attempting to embed short (10 sec) video files to a captivate 2019 project and publish it as an swf file. When viewing the swf file, the videos appear to be attempting to load (i get loader icon indications) but the video never loads. I need this video saved into the swf file, if at all possible.

But, unfortunately, I’m required to deliver the project in SWF. And when I “publish to computer” in SWF it runs, but the image is static instead of rotating. Windows 10 and Captivate 2019. If I “publish to computer” in HTML5, it works perfect. Anyone know why or have a solution?

With the end of life of swf and more browsers locking out swf files, I have been forced to find a solution a little quicker than anticipated after our IT department made a change earlier than expected. What is puzzling to me is when I import the gif into the Captivate 2019 project it converts it to a 23meg file size.
HOWEVER, it seems like the auto label feature for accessibility is only applicable for SWF output (FLASH?). Will it change eventually in 2017 or 2019 version? Also, I am required to output my course file in HTML format. Is that TRUE?

SWF in Browser works as well. Since that change my preview in HTML wont work anymore, I just get this icon indefinitely and it wont load any further. However the “standard” preview still works fine. Previewing other projects in HTML works fine. – Uninstall Firefox and use Google Chrome.

When i delete the.pdf,swf data from the zip, nothing will start. How can I get it to work and how can I change the zip file? Secondly, when I upload the zip to our Moodle and use the build-in “learning package” option it only chooses the flash files.

Hi, Every time I publish a project Cp 2019 and run it in Firefox, the width of the project is cut off on the left side by a few pixels. This seems to throw off all the buttons as I need to click them repeatedly to get any to work. If I change the zoom out in Firefox to one less than 100% everything appears as designed.
We are using CP 2019 and the course is not responsive. The logos are on multiple master slides and are png files. They haven’t asked yet, but we know the client’s name is also on the TOC/project info. Is there a way to replace images within the module after it is published?
Some other things to note: The course was originally built in Captivate 2017 (10.0.0), but I have edited, converted, and published to Captivate 2019 (11.0.0). It works fine though if I use regular Multiple Chose Question Slides that are not linked to a pool of questions. Is there anything I should be doing to avoid this?
