While many of us had been offering online courses and other alternatives to in-person training for years, suddenly nothing could be run in a traditional classroom setting; and so as a collective we’ve been forced to shift learning and development online. Will we revert to our previous ways, or is the genie out of the bottle?
Pride in our roots (viva l’Italia ). We even take pride in our hard-to-pronounce name !) But most of all, we take pride in our people. . We get questions about both constantly. Our users want to know if our LMS will protect their content the way a membership plugin does, or they want to know if they need a membership plugin to manage the users on their course. These features cover the most common scenarios that we encounter from our users. Content access.
“Billions of bits of data travel through our firm every day,” the voice drones on while the stock photo changes to science-fictiony swirling lines and numbers. A meaningful title frees you from having to ponderously explain what the course is about. And our main goal should be to design experiences, not information.).
What I particularly like about this industry award reaffirms what we have been all about since opening our doors: to provide a flexible, incredibly cost-effective LMS that delivers impressive (and effective) course experiences. WordPress as a content management system makes this possible. But you know what? Need something more?
Storytelling has a long history as one of most fundamental communication methods. As children, we all begged our parents for “one more story!” And many of us remember the morals of those stories even now as adults. And many of us remember the morals of those stories even now as adults. We love to HEAR stories, too!

There are two things I really like about this hero area. The first is that line above the headline, because it tells us who it is for. In other words, even from the very start, Cam is telling us why we should take this course. But this intro is done really well because it’s not the “about me” kind of section.
I don’t know when it happened but at some point in human history a very smart marketer created the concept of “all-in-one” The premise being that you only need to purchase the one item and nothing else. From software to kitchen products, the all-in-one moniker still has a strangle-hold on our purchasing psyches.
In essence, the post was about breaking out of L&D silo’s and stop the creation of learning programs built for an audience of one (you), and start remembering we have an end-user. Not only are we not creating learning for learners, we act as if our poor learning design and lack of innovative thought is the learners fault.
Not only is it accompanied by the likes of the first day of Spring, Daylight Saving, and Mardi Gras, it holds importance as Women’s History Month—a month that focuses on the contributions of women in the past and present while fostering opportunities for women in the future. However, despite (or perhaps because of) its history, Moodle has failed to modernize enough to keep pace with developments. Here are just a few reasons why this makes a big difference for our users.
Today, information is coming at us so fast, technology is changing so rapidly, the world is changing so dramatically, that the old methods of learning and performance improvement do not work any longer…if they ever did. She simply couldn’t fathom it: how could the two of us create not just worksheets and tests, but reading assignments and projects too? I loved the opportunity to stretch the band students with some music theory and history, but wasn’t quite sure how I’d manage with no textbooks, no curriculum materials, and no budget.

One of the biggest points of confusion I’ve seen evolve in recent years is how people use the word “responsive” when speaking about device-independent eLearning. Over time, “responsive” has become the preferred word used when talking about device-independent development. First, a little history…. Custom Solutions.
The tech industry and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields have a long and rich history… of being male-dominated. You may or may not be shocked by this but not enough of us are creating video to help the people in our organizations. We, as educators in the Adult Learning world, have a responsibility to help our organizations move forward and we are not doing enough to practice this craft. What are you going to do about it?

At the age of six, while the rest of my class was successfully reading about John and Jane and their dog Spot, I couldn’t make sense of the printed words on the page. The only thing I can remember about that hour was hearing my father’s voice through the door. “My So they met with the dear Sisters of St. My daughter is not stupid.”
A Brief History of AI. Humans have been using machines to augment our capabilities for a long time, so it’s only natural that we’ve come to a point where we’re looking to replicate our cognitive processes in some of those machines. Here’s a brief history of artificial intelligence.

Semiconductor manufacturer, AMD, says their shift to social learning saves more than US$250,000 per year in web-based training production costs. Consider the social aspects of our everyday lives.
” design approach, we’d “teach” them this way: Tell the “widget story” — how widgets were invented and our company’s proud role in widgets’ ascendence to importance. Explain how prompt customer service has helped us stand out in the widget field. Show a video of a squealing widget.
Company history and culture. There are plenty of problems with this design, many of which we’re addressing throughout our #onboardingSOS series. New employees have a lot to think about. However, depending on the role, the transition may take days or even weeks, during which time they are making decisions about their fit.
The other day I had a chance to catch up with Brandon Carson who contributes to our industry in so many ways. Here is some of our exchange. The basic thesis of the book implores all of us in Learning to take into account how these technologies affect the modern worker and their ability to optimally perform. Brandon Carson.
