I received a question from a classroom teacher who is hoping to make the career move to instructional design. This wasn’t a deal-breaker for us, but being able to talk about how you worked with others to develop lessons is a big plus. Someone asked me in last week’s eLearning Freelancer Bootcamp Q&A about how I maintain my blogging momentum. I have published over 1100 posts (about 400 “real” posts plus 700 posts of curated links). I talked about several of these points live. That’s a lot of writing. Create a series of posts.

I reviewed data from multiple sources on pay in the learning and development field, including comparing pay for employees and freelancers.

This will enable individuals to progress at their own pace, focusing on areas that align with their specific needs and career aspirations. Also, urge your group to talk about how buyers react to various strategies or messaging.
While there were other discussions about how to encourage adoption of xAPI, get the right data, and present it in a way that helps guide decisions, I got something very specific out of the conversation. We do have limitations that we can’t necessarily change, but our beliefs about those limitations are within our control.
Think about what employees need to know about these four things: Company : What information do they need to know about your organization? Is there any information about your company that will help them to be more successful in their position? Culture : What do new hires need to know about your company’s culture?
Resistance to Change Employees accustomed to traditional training methods may resist digital learning due to concerns about its effectiveness or discomfort with new technology.
