ADL officially released the xAPI Conformance Test Suite and (Good news!) Using Engine as your LRS will help your product pass the xAPI Conformance Test Suite and enable you to be on ADL’s list of Conformant LRSs. In particular, we have made significant changes to the Engine player UI to more easily cooperate with screen readers.

That has changed. CourseLab – ADL SCORM certified, no less. PENS was created in 2005 by AICC as a new interoperability standard. We are in an age where change happens faster then ever before and at the end of the day, the players who will be standing – will see it, grasp it and revolutionize it. This is now.

I mean it is not like something is going to change in just a few weeks for any such product. Yes, it offers the social learning authoring features – robust actually, which most vendors in this space does not, but it has added task management and PENS. #7 What hurts them though is no HTML5 output, which I hope will change.

In 2010, the RCAT market continued its upswing and nothing indicates to me it will be changing anytime soon. ADL SCORM 2004 CERTIFIED. Same thing with PENS i.e. a SCORM LMS that does not support PENS will not work with a PENS content authoring tool. Some acquisitions, some goodbyes, but overall very strong.
