It isn’t, but there are a few vendors starting to add it to their interoperability standards and yes a few LMS vendors too. PENS was created in 2005 by AICC as a new interoperability standard. In my directory, I found 3 RCAT vendors who list on their site that they accepted this standard. This is a big issue.

Another issue I have with many vendors who offer effects – again, I like that – is that they fail to mention. Less vendors are offering the HTML5 output, which seems to be strange, especially as more e-learning vendors as a whole are jumping right in. E-Learning 24/7.

Because they are having some slight issues – which I have heard from some end users and even from some Articulate folks at TK13. . #8 Zenler Studio – Another PowerPoint driven product with some very cool feature sets including: eBook, screen recording, narration, simple to use, scenario builder (win!)

What about AICC? Unless you purchased a tool that is only AICC compliant, which in that case, time to ditch it and get another one. If you purchased an AICC only, then you have to find a system that is AICC compliant. It can be SCORM too, but the AICC is the key. . SCORM is backward compatible, not forward. .

SCORM/AICC/PENS/IMS. Those that don’t are due to: Your tool works only with SCORM 2004 3rd edition, and your LMS only accepts AICC. Even vendors who say their are browser agnostic, if you are using not a common browser – say Maxthon or Avant, check first. A: Depends on the vendor. Facility management.
