I'm working a lot with socialemedia and communities of practice. I'm very happy to work with Ria van Dinteren to prepare a session on Brein meets socialmedia on the 16th of February in the Netherlands. We hope to combine insights from brain science with the way you can use socialmedia in learning processes.
Last year we've experimented with various socialmedia to improve a sharing event for about 100 participants (for more details see my older blogpost ). This is not too difficult when all your participants are socialmedia adepts, you announce your hashtags and off they go. So how can you still use socialmedia?
The topic was: socialmedia as learning instrument. I started with a line up: from no engagement with socialmedia to intensive engagement. Only a few were using socialmedia intensively and only one had followed the hashtag #tvt12 before the conference. With socialmedia you can brew a powerful mix.
