However, the bigquestion here is – is mass customization possible in the training industry? This entirely self-paced way of learning is ineffective in terms of knowledge retention – with no resources, discussion or ongoing support. But, it’s just as important to note, companies have achieved this customization en-masse.

Most middle and upper managers have two frames of reference for "learning" -- high school, and corporate training sessions. Ive been struggling a lot lately with the "body of knowledge" mindset, the notion that theres a Big Bag o Facts that people have to master (as opposed to learning that they have to engage in).
