For example, Meebo is more dedicated to chat, but there’s more overhead to get hooked up (it connects all IM channels, but you’d have to be on IM). Even in the discussion, the mention of Yammer brought in the Yammer team mentioning some of their casestudies, which got a bit annoying.
And to be honest, Im kind of the Coursera guy at my office. I loved the casestudies because I could pick the companies and the industries. Im shy, but I want to be the best in the world. As you can see, Im still alive! Gies had flexibility, reputation, and it was on Coursera. Anything else youd like to share?

Now that Ive been actually doing some writing, Im having to put it all to work. Ideally, Im trying to figure out how to make this a bit interactive.

Cammy, Im just a "lite" Facebook user, but I have seen profile pages that list their workplaces with commentary about how horrible their company is, or how much they hate their job. And Im in complete agreement.
Im in that beginner-mind zone. Although Ive been doing this work for 15ish years, the ground beneath me is shaky and I feel like Im in new waters, navigating new people, new processes, new tools. Im looking for some input: good examples of software product training. Im working on a pitch to a software company -- technical audience (think database guys). Im not looking to work with another vendor, Im just looking to see good examples of software training to make sure Im not behind the times!
So, what do I do if Im not doing that? Im not such an anal person, so this isnt my favorite thing in the world. And Im really excited about the project Im working on. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 Jott This Blog I havent had so much time lately to blog, as this project Im working on has been quite grueling. I find my best time for thinking up excellent blog entries is late at night when Im lying in bed. That is, of course, if Im even awake after the kids have finally fallen asleep.
For various reasons, Im not going to go back to school to get a Masters Degree in instructional design. But I firmly believe that this journey Im on is giving me the experience and educational equivalent (if not better) than a formal M.Ed. Tuesday, June 19, 2007 Using FaceBook Im trying to expand my horizons a bit these days and have been taking a closer look at a whole bunch of tools out there, including SecondLife and FaceBook. Back to the Google Desktop -- Im playing around a bit with the searching capabilities and am seeing the light. Im struggling a bit with figuring out how to set the preferences so that it searches where I need it to search (I save most of my files to a shared network drive; not locally).
