Should your organization have a CCO and CLO? I agree with Hebert and I have similar concerns with having a CLO (Chief Learning Officer). Companies don’t have CWOs (Chief Work Officer), so why do they have CLOs? Don’t put all the emphasis on a course catalogue and don’t hire a CLO. Operative word.

A Chief Learning Officer (CLO) is essentially someone in charge of learning for an organization. Sometimes, the position is called a Director of Training—although the responsibilities are often a little different. What is a CLO? A CLO is the person is in charge of learning at a corporate, organizational level.
