I just realized that Diigo lets me see everyone who has bookmarked my site and what they saved. Diigo doesn’t require any prep work on my part though, which makes it much more likely that I’m going to actually use the information. Here endeth today’s commercial for Diigo. Free Subscription.

Diigo is my social bookmarking option. Diigo automatically generates my ID and e-Learning bookmarks posts. People are sometimes amazed at how quickly I can find resources for various topics; Diigo is what lets me put my hands on links from my library in a hurry.

Diigo is my social bookmarking option. Diigo’s highlighting option has always differentiated it from Delicious for me, and my weekly bookmarks posts are automatically generated by Diigo. WordPress.com is my blogging platform of choice and a great tool for personal reflection.
Bookmark manager that takes screenshots and allows highlights like Diigo. Although I have relied on Diigo for a long time for saving and tagging bookmarks, the site hasn’t been actively developed in several years. Raindrop.io — All-in-one bookmark manager. This might be a viable alternative. Fancy Font Generator.
In the past, I used Diigo for this purpose. The workflow for collecting those links into blog posts is actually easier with Raindrop than it was with Diigo. I also use these saved links to curate resources for blog posts every 4-5 weeks. This year, I migrated to Raindrop as my bookmarking tool.

Raindrop’s export is actually easier for these curation posts than my previous tool (Diigo), and I’ve been very happy so far. To create these posts, I need a bookmarking tool that works on multiple devices, allows me to highlight passages, and exports specific posts so I can share them here on my blog.

Diigo recently released version 3 of their social bookmarking application. Diigo had groups before, but the sharing tools are improved now. Diigo identifies other users who tag the same sites and use the same tags as you, so it’s easier to find people with similar interests.
