Not surprising, the terms most closely associated with Adoption are Adoption of Social Software and Adoption of Enterprise2.0. So, of course, I went to eLearning Learning and I looked at Wiki , Collaborative Learning with Wikis , Wikis and eLearning 2.0 , Wikis Corporate eLearning , Social Learning with Wikis , Wiki Security and a few others. I wanted to collect a few resources around this topic for use in these discussions.
L&D, if they want it, is rightly positioned to lead organizational social. At it’s very core social is about community, collaboration and sharing. Those last 2 are vehicles for knowledge, strategy and tactics to be transmitted and are how new ideas flourish and old problems are solved.
We discussed a range of issues around this topic, and we generated some really bright ideas that I feel are worth pursuing in the corporate sector. Some of the ideas specifically relate to e-learning, while others may fall more comfortably into other portfolios. I share my knowledge, and I learn a lot more in return.
Another principle that resonated with me was, in my own words: Social networking is king. Social networking has been around since the dawn of time. Simple: it’s a social network for people who are interested in scrapbooking and crafts. instructional design participatory culture social media.
