They are a growth market segment, but they will need to constantly evolve because the big player, LMSs are starting to add similar functionality to what Learning Engagement Platforms can do. They are Learn Amp, Degreed and Grovo. . The players.

Apparently, that’s why learning technology vendor Grovo decided to ruin this commonly used term by attempting to trademark it last year. Even if Grovo wins exclusive rights to use “microlearning” in its marketing, the methodology still has broader merit and will continue to be supported by most modern learning systems.

Grovo receives 40M in series C funding -total amount including a previous 25 million in funding – 65 million (as of end of Jan. I like Grovo as a product, but their pitch as the original micro-learning platform (read in one press release) is a twist on reality – great marketing, but really? Another check.

Rather they are in favor of a one size player – smaller for sure, that will work with any screen size, but does not conform to that screen size. Grovo – The solution is more of a micro learning platform, as in a catalog of micro courses inc. What bothered me the most about Grovo was what didn’t happen.
