Craft distance learning events for college credit that pull together elements of both asynchronous and synchronous learning experiences. Create online learning experiences for use in K-12 classrooms. Today Im feeling more like a hazy purple.

So I created a new banner in Photoshop -- took another apple photo and added some text. Cammy--thanks for the compliment. :-) Im digging the new look and what you did with the banner. I can see how theorists might argue that reading text aloud to the learner addresses multiple "learning styles," but the real-world experience is one of frustration: you want to read ahead but you cant because the narrator reads more slowly than you do. Im with you. But I just thought that was my learning style. Youre right.

I called this one out as one of the top things I learned about learning in 2007. And yet one could argue that most learners dont even bother reading them.

e-Learning should be all neat and tied up in a nice wrapper with a Next button that moves you through a content checklist and a great assessment at the end. Ive been asking various questions about technology and tools in order to get a sense of where people are at, while also soliciting ideas and input for improving the use of technology to support learning throughout their member organization. Some claim to feel lost without an Internet connection, but hey, dont we all? But mostly not.

As Im ramping up in my new job, Im talking with my new Kineo colleagues about everything under the sun. I was talking with Mark Harrison, a Kineo partner with over 25 years experience in learning design, about some of the differences between eLearning in the UK and in the US. You do know that, right?)
