Quite chilling.

Back to the Google Desktop -- Im playing around a bit with the searching capabilities and am seeing the light. Im struggling a bit with figuring out how to set the preferences so that it searches where I need it to search (I save most of my files to a shared network drive; not locally). So the search feature -- I get that and Im sold.

Well, lets just say that theres no denying now that Im almost 40. Wednesday, July 11, 2007 My 100th Post In honor of my 39th birthday (which is today), I write my 100th post (which seems improbable). In fact, I think Ill just start saying that I am 40. This seems significant for no real reason.

Monday, July 02, 2007 The Gin System As Ive been trying to sort out the role of FaceBook lately, I cant help but wonder "wheres the content?" Then again, perhaps Im missing something. Today, in one of my student interviews, I came across a new web-based application called The Gin System.
Im a Word power-user and love all the little tricks and shortcuts. All of my project information is in one place. I started off cutting and pasting a lot of documents from Word into the wiki. Now Ive left Word behind and am writing everything directly in the wiki. Ive had to get used to the formatting -- or lack thereof. I miss them.
Im definitely interested in getting myself in there and would like to arrange a meeting of bloggers, if youre interested. But its on my to-do list for this week (as it has been on my to do list for the last month). What about you? Do you have a Second Life? How often do you access your account? What have you done? But its been low on my list.
