Last week was the LearningSolutionsConference2023. I enjoyed catching up with folks I have seen at past events, meeting new people, and learning from the sessions. Wednesday David Kelly’s opening David Kelly always opens the conference with the logistical info and a story about his kids.
I spoke on the topic of pay equity as part of TLDC’s Women of L&D 2023 event. I reviewed data from multiple sources on pay in the learning and development field, including comparing pay for employees and freelancers. I reviewed several research reports and articles from the Learning Guild in my preparations.
Last week, I attended the Learning and HR Tech SolutionsConference (LHRCon 24). This is the newly rebranded LearningSolutionsconference that I have presented at multiple times in the past. I enjoyed seeing so many old friends, meeting people in person for the first time, and making new connections.
The Learning Guild, ATD, TLDC, Training Magazine Network, and LDA all provide both free and paid resources for instructional designers and other learning and development professionals. The Learning Guild I have been a member of the Learning Guild for many years.
The smells of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter perhaps a bit too strong – but the sights were amazing, the conference was intimate and inspiring, and the Louisiana gulf red fish (two nights in a row!) Many e-learning developers create multiple courses, but these courses are often very similar in content.
