Once you’ve chosen a video resolution, you’ll see a new window open showing the progress of the compression. Open the zip file and you’ll be greeted with a lot of unfriendly looking folders. Go into the ppt folder and there are even more unfriendly folders. Check your video after it’s compressed to make sure it still looks good.

So sometimes I keep it open. I don’t need to save a PDF of slides or email them a copy of my PPT presentation. Keeping the sidebar visible is a great way to let the people know where we’re at and where we’re going. But it’s easy enough to collapse the sidebar and only show it when I have to.
