Wikipedia is the first place I check for basic, “good enough&# information on many topics. I experienced it two days ago when I had to focus on finalizing a report, but kept on responding to mails, got a google chat and a skype call coming in. It often leads me to Wikipedia (my preferred source, teachers take note), but regularly (e.g. Skype: the Internet Time Alliance maintains a Skype channel where we regularly discuss issues, and ask and answer each other’s questions. 99.99% of the time) provides me with links that give me the answer i need.
A set of trusted web resources : That’d be Wikipedia, pretty much. I stay in touch with my ITA colleagues via Skype. I would prefer another search engine, probably DuckDuckGo, but I’m not facile with it, for instance finding images. I use Pixabay many times to find images. I’ve used Zoom to share.
Skype : Skype offers the magic of essentially free multimedia global communication and learning. Together with my colleagues in the Internet Time Alliance , I use Skype as our principal digital ‘glue’ to share and learn is a continuous flow. That prediction came true much sooner than BCG thought it would.
I typically will choose the Wikipedia link if there is one, but also will typically open several other links and peruse across them to generate a broader perspective. Skype let’s me stay in touch with my ITA colleagues, hence it’s definitely a learning tool. I also see and occasionally comment on posting by others.
It’s often a gateway to Wikipedia, which I heavily rely on, but a number of times I find other sources that are equally valuable, such as research or practice sites that have some quality inputs. Skype is a tool I use for communicating with folks to get things done, but also to have conversations (e.g. Twitter is a go-to.

I still don’t understand the Skype menu very well and finding stuff in Twitter often escapes me entirely. Tech savvy.
